Our team, the Balam Jungle Hardwood Company (BJHC) operates a sustainble timber operation on a private 86,000+ acre tract of land known as the Balam Jungle Estates; located in the Corozal District of Northern Belize, Central America. This remarkably unique property presents one of the most impressive exotic hardwood timberlands in the world.

Our company’s harvesting operation is guided by a sustainable Forest Management Plan, which includes active supporting reforestation and plantation programs for extensively harvested species.

We operate a circular saw mill to debark/square our logs, a vertical band saw mill to custom cut precise cants and/or lumber, an edger, a planer, a straight-line rip saw, and other related machinery.

Our team works hard to offer everyone from lumber enthusiasts to wholesalers some of the most exotic and valuable hardwoods on earth while actively preserving the integrity of this magnificent piece of property. By promoting our operation we also wish to promote local employment. We have hired and trained our staff from surrounding communities, sharing skills that will allow them to effectively apply their own experience and expertise; becoming valuable contributing members of our team.
